Bobbie Gale Martin was born August 1, 1957, in Bainbridge, the daughter of Jimmie & Pat Martin. She attended Bainbridge High School and was a member of Beulah Thomas Baptist Church.
A caretaker by nature, Bobbie learned from the best. Family was everything to her and being together was her favorite pastime. Many of her friends share stories of things they did "at Bobbie's house with Bobbie's family" during their childhood because the door was always open. Her strong will and rock-solid demeanor allowed her to care for others in a way it was easily received even from a young age.
She enjoyed hunting and fishing, working in her yard, and cooking. (Bobbie's fried chicken probably made the Colonel a little envious.) Jokes were part of everyday life, and Bobbie could take a joke and hand one right back to you. Though she was always smiling, Bobbie made the decision to keep some things stored in her heart to protect those she loved.
Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Troy Barfield; her children, Amee & Jeff Napier, Skyler Sims, Richard Sims, and Casey Webb & Kendra; her grandchildren, Reese, Britney & Richard, Mason & Cameron, Liam, Dawson, and Zane; her great-granddaughter, Adalyn; and her sister, Pam Martin Wells (Steven) of Bowman, GA; and a host of extended family. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents.
