Bobbie Jean Cantrell, 83, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on December 22, 2025, at Anderson Community Hospital. She was born on March 9, 1942, in Livingston, Tennessee to her parents, Anna Ruth Fairley and Woodrow Franklin.

Bobbie is survived by her loving spouse of 62 years, Harold Cantrell; their children, Renea (David) Short and Bart Cantrell; five grandchildren, Kyle Cantrell, Chase Short, Joseph (Keanna) Cantrell, Sarah Short and Andrew Cantrell; one great-grandchild, Leon Espinoza-Short; siblings, Loretta Savage, Carol Gillentine, Ruthann Richmond and Gary Franklin. Bobbie is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Bobbie was the most devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sibling and Aunt. Always making sure everyone had their bellies full and there were no wrinkles in your clothes. She was the most reliable and dependable woman to her people. She loved nothing more than her family and spending time with them, rummaging and antiques, General Hospital, getting a new piece of jewelry, Indianapolis Colts, needlepoint & crocheting, traveling back "home" (Tennessee) as she'd call it to set up for the Highway 111 flea market, and most of all, she loved to give you her opinion.

She retired from CATS City of Anderson after 22 years of dedicated work. She worked with Barbara and Raymond Johnson whom were her special friends. Bobbie and her husband Harold spent a lot of their time with Harold's Sister, Betty Scott and her husband, Carl Scott.

Bobbie was proceeded in death by her parents, Woodrow Franklin and Anna Ruth Fairley; siblings, Terry Franklin and Hope Perdue. Another special person Bobbie is proceeded in death by is her sister-in-law, Betty Scott.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 29, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street Anderson, Indiana, 46013.

Services will follow visitation on Monday at 11:00 am.

Burial will take place in Grovelawn Cemetery, in Pendleton, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Daleville American Legion Post 446 and to the Pendleton American Legion Post 117.
