Bobbie Jean Edmonds, age 80, of Horton, passed away on February 16, 2025. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who adored her family and friends. She loved growing flowers, feeding the birds and was a wonderful cook. Her grandchildren say her biscuits were the best darn thing ever. She enjoyed watching sports, especially Alabama football.
Bobbie is survived by her sons, Karry Edmonds (Cindy) and Gary Edmonds (Carol); her daughter, Melissa McCay (Jeff); her grandchildren, Ben Edmonds (Chelsea), Shannon Edmonds Folsom (Josh), Troy McCay (Darci), and Emily Edmonds; and her great-grandchildren, Lily Edmonds, Willoughby Folsom, and Avery Edmonds and a sister Maxine Franklin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Edmonds; her parents, Troy Melton and Lillie Maude Boyd Blackwell; her brothers, Curtis and Kenneth Wayne Blackwell; and her sisters, Genell Mosley and Gail Burks.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Glenn Pankey officiating. The family will receive friends two hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will include Troy McCay, Donald Edmonds, Brian Edmonds, Don Newman, Tim Mosley, and Ashton Morris.
