Funeral services for Bobbie Rider Harrison, age 80, of Grayson will be held 2:00 PM Monday May 15, 2023 from the sanctuary of The Pentecostal Church of Clarks, LA with Bro. Jeff Masters officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. The Harrison Family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 AM Monday and continue until time of service at 2:00 PM.
Bobbie Rider Harrison was born on September 5, 1942 in Winnsboro, Louisiana to the union of her parents, the late Bill Rider and Barbara Marie Floyd and she passed from this life on May 11, 2023 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia following an extended illness.
Bobbie was preceded in death by the love of her life and soulmate, Bobby Gene Harrison; her parents, Bill and Barbara Rider; her daughter, Barbara Jean Mabry, and her siblings Gayle Jenkins, Billy Rider and Larry Rider. Bobbie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister. Known to be "Feisty" she loved cooking and feeding people and was head cook for several restaurants in the Columbia area. Reading was also a favorite hobby of hers. She also served two terms as a Caldwell Parish Police Juror.
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her son, Donald Wayne Harrison of Ashville, Ohio; her daughter, Bonnie Joanne Johnston of Clarks; two brothers, Gary Rider of Urania and John Rider of Grayson; her sisters, Cookie Nelson of Columbia and Joyce Jenkins of Grayson; her beloved grandchildren, Ashley Crawford, Paige Johnston, Dusty Johnston, Jake Hatten, Blake Harrison, Landon Harrison, Gunner Harrison, Noah Harrison and Parker Harrison; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Masters, Edward Malcomb, Dusty Johnston, Daniel Johnston, Phil Crawford, Clay Bennett. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her nephews and Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers any planned memorials may be made to the National Crohn's Foundation of America.
