Bobbie Joe Mitchell

Bobbie Joe Mitchell age 85 passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024. He was born June 29, 1939, in Wilburton, OK to William "Bill" and Lottie Lee (Ward) Mitchell. After growing up in Wilburton, he moved with his family to Midwest City, OK where he met the love of his life, right down the street, Patricia Sanders and they were married on Aug 23, 1958. He worked as a machinist and retired after 37 years in 1995 from Western Electric/AT&T. In Bobbie's retirement years if he was not sipping coffee at the local diner with his fishing buddies, he was out on Lake Texoma fishing with those same buddies known as "The Six Old Geezers". Bobbie did his fair share of fish fry's; He did the best fish fry's, or you would find him out in his garage tinkering around "Bobbie Mitchell proofing" things, then he would retreat to his living room watching Western's with a glass of sweet tea and his dogs on either side of him He was preceded in death by his wife Pat (2016), his daughter Robin Mount, his parents, his siblings, Betty Cantrell, Johnny Mitchell, Willie Mitchell and brother-in-law, Roy Davis. He is survived by his daughters Pam Davis husband Mitch, and Sheila Sudik, husband Roy, son in law Tony Mount, grandchildren Allen Sudik, wife Mandy, Julie Simpkins husband, Aaron, Anthony Mount, wife Marissa, Chelsie Davis, Carrie Schwab, husband Brian, great grandkids, Spencer, Sheridan and Sawyer Sudik, Gavin, Jackson and Kaylen Simpkins, River, Trip and Kaylee Mount and Addison Schwab. Also, by his brother Alvie Mitchell and wife Cleta and sister Tena Davis and many nieces and nephews. Services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at McNeil's Funeral Service with interment to follow at the Mustang Cemetery in Mustang, OK.
