Bobbie Jean Stafford, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10th, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on Friday, May 29th, 1942, in Sumter, South Carolina, Bobbie Jean was a cherished resident of Roswell, Georgia, where she spent her later years surrounded by family and friends.
Bobbie Jean was the devoted wife of Francis W. Stafford, with whom she shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family, including their children Mark (Vicki) Stafford, Wendie (Richard) Lowry, and Don (Holly) Stafford. She was the proud grandmother of Patrick and Connor Lowry, who brought immense joy to her life.
She is also survived by her sister, Lillian Barfield Folk, and numerous other family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Bobbie Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ruby Barfield, and her siblings Martha Kirven, William Barfield, Ann Watts, and George Barfield.
Bobbie Jean pursued her passion for beauty and style by earning a cosmetology license, which led to a fulfilling career as a hairdresser. She owned and operated "Upstairs Hair Styling for Men" in Toccoa, Georgia, where her clients adored her skill and warm personality.
Beyond her professional life, Bobbie Jean had a deep love for gardening. She took great pride in growing an abundance of vegetables, which she skillfully canned and shared with family and friends. Her garden was a testament to her nurturing spirit and love for nature.
Arrangements for Bobbie Jean Stafford are being handled by Roy Davis Funeral Home. Her family invites all who knew her to join in celebrating her life and cherishing the memories she leaves behind.
