Bobbie Jo Walker
Was born August 16, 1930, in Dallas, Texas. She died April 18, 2023, in Beachwood, Ohio.
Married King S. Walker, Jr. December 11, 1948. Had two daughters: Linda Jo and Kathy Lynn.
During her life, Bobbie Jo:
* Graduated from Glenville High School (Cleveland)
* Taught adults in evening classes in Cleveland Heights and Warrensville Heights High Schools - the techniques of sewing, alterations, and men's tailoring.
* Drove school buses, first for Shaker, then Beachwood school districts.
* Was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church (Cleveland) and later Aldersgate United Methodist Church (Warrensville).
Bobbie Jo, a lady who never liked to sit still, enjoyed many interests:
* Grew African violets and other plants in the house and in her yard.
* Baked exceptionally good peach cobblers and pound cakes.
* Made clothes for her two daughters, suits for her husband of 32 years, and drapes and curtains for her home.
* Took many one-day group bus trips.
* Attended Chinese cooking classes, then treated her family to those delicious dishes.
* Participated enthusiastically in many forms of exercise (walking the neighborhood, water aerobics, workouts with her personal trainer).
Left to mourn Bobbie Jo:
* Her two daughters, Linda Wilson and Kathy Walker
* A host of friends
* All of whom celebrate her reunion with her husband, King Walker, who preceded her in death (June 2, 1980).
