WADESBORO - On Monday, July 14, 2025, Mr. Bobby David Adams, 87, passed away peacefully at Richmond County Hospice Have in Rockingham to be with his Lord and Savior with his loving wife of 49 years by his side.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Cathedral Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Swaringen and Rev. R.J. "Beaver" Hammond officiating. Interment will follow in Deep Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Peachland.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, July 18, 2025 at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro.
Bobby was born April 1, 1938 in Anson County and was a son of the late O'Day Adams and the late Mary Ratliff Adams. He was a graduate of Wadesboro High School. He owned and operated Bonnie's Used Cars, a garage, body shop and car sales in Wadesboro.
In 1974, Bobby surrendered his life to Christ and has been preparing for his home going for 51 years. He was a charter member of Cathedral Baptist Church, where he was ordained deacon and currently serving on the active deacon board.
Bobby was a quiet and humble man with a big heart for anyone who was in need, whether he knew them or not.
Those who are left to cherish is memory are his wife, Jane Collins Adams; his nieces, Linda Wright (Larry) of Polkton and Talisha Taylor Ohmann (Paul) of Marshville, as well as, many great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hospice Haven in Rockingham and to Leavitt Funeral Home for the love and support shown to them. A special thanks to Rodney and Sharon Morton, Wyatt and Debbie Siegler and Billy McLendon who worked with Bobby for 47 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cathedral Baptist Church, 1215 Old Lilesville Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
