Bobby Akridge Obituary
Bobby was a native of Swainsboro, GA. He was a proud Army veteran who served two tours in Vietnam. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed the outdoors. Bobby loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Family members, in addition to his wife who was the love of his life, include his children: Jayson Akridge, Robbie Johnson, Mary Coffey, and Melissa Johnson; grandchildren: Hunter Clements, Dustin Clements, Jeffrey Whisnant, Samantha Johnson, Robbie Johnson, Jr., McKinley Johnson, Patrick Coffey and Katelyn Coffey; great grandchild: Avery Johnson; and sister: Ruby Heistand. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Rosia Akridge, and daughter, Andrea Lopez.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Paul Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Phillip Miles, Jerry Jacobs, Gary Hewett, Eddie Etterle, Chad McRilker, and Mike Thomas.
