Funeral services for Bobby Duane Arnold, 60, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, January 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Rev. M.E. Lyons officiating. Interment will follow at Zavalla Cemetery in Zavalla, Texas.
Mr. Arnold was born on November 11, 1963, in Lufkin, Texas, to Bobbie Jack Arnold and Jackie Jo (Foster) Arnold, and died Monday, January 1, 2024, in Galveston.
Mr. Arnold was a kind, compassionate, and loving soul. He never met a stranger and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. Duane loved to hang out with friends, travel, go fishing, and ride his motorcycle. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him. Mr. Arnold was always available to lend an ear to someone who needed to talk. He was such an amazing person and every one of the lives he touched will miss him and his positivity so much.
Mr. Arnold is survived by his mother, Jackie (Foster) Arnold of Lufkin, TX; brother, Tracy Jack Arnold of Independence, MO; sister and brother-in-law, Janelle and David Shimshi of Boca Raton, FL; special love, Michele Hinson of Lufkin, TX; special niece and husband, Jessica and T.J. Hearnsberger of Lufkin, TX; niece, Shalom Shimshi of Boca Raton, FL; and niece, Ashley Arnold of Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Jack Arnold; sister, Beverly M. Arnold; and grandparents, Jack and Inez Foster and Walter and Molly Arnold.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Arnold, T.J. Hearnsberger, David Shimshi, Juan Montelongo, Michael Juarez, and Steve Jackson.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, prior to the funeral service.
