Bobby Alton Avery, 73, of Jonesburg, MO, passed away at his home on January 9th, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.
Bobby was born April 7th, 1952 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Ralph (Bob) Avery and Pauline (Philips) Avery.
Bobby married Judy (Dixon) on April 24, 1976 at the New Bloomfield United Methodist Church. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. Together they have three daughters and four grandchildren.
Bobby worked as a bricklayer for the St. Louis Bricklayers' Union Local 1 which he retired from early to fulfill his true dream of restoring hotrods. Bobby began his craft in his youth and it became his life long career. Bobby started his first business; Bobby’s Autobody, nearly 50 years ago and later added Judy to the business in the mid 90’s as B&J’s Autoworks. Restoring hotrods was not a job but a passion. His art and legacy will live on with the many cars that still roam the streets.
Remaining to cherish Bobby’s memory are wife, Judy; children, Jennifer, Jessica and Lori; grandchildren, Avery, Tristan, Astrid and Eleanor; brothers, Richard and wife Glenda, Kenny and wife Betty, and sister-in-law, Karen; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
