Dunn,NC: Bobby Ray Beasley, Sr. age 78, of Fairground Road passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Wanda Berrier. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery.
Mr. Beasley was born on October 12, 1947 in Johnston County to the late William Jacob and Betty Catherine Roberts Beasley. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Casey Tart and Christopher Ryals; brothers, Charles Beasley, Kenneth Beasley, Danny Beasley, and Billy Beasley; and sisters, Carolyn Beasley Temple and Hilda Beasley Ethridge. He was a sub-contractor and later devoted his time to full time farming with his son which he loved. He was affectionately known as “Daddy” and “Papa” by his children and grandchildren. Mr. Beasley was an outdoorsman who loved to work the land and fish. He loved traveling, especially to the beach and the mountains. Mr. Beasley also loved going gambling at casinos, scratch-off lottery tickets, and fast cars. You could always find him listening to beach music which was his favorite as well as Fox News. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his family.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Deborah Beasley; children, Charlene Tart and husband, Ray, Irene Stewart and husband, Jamie, and Bobby Beasley, Jr. and wife, Kristie; grandchildren, Jeremy Tart, Steven Champion Jr., Hannah Powers, Jaelyn Stewart, Greyden Stewart, Abigail Tart, Levi Beasley, Matthew Tart, Anthony Tart, and Madison Beasley; great grandchildren, Hayden Tart, Riley Tart, and Rudy Tart; brothers, Donald Beasley and Ricky Beasley; and sisters, Joyce Beasley Davis, Mary Beasley Davis, and Etheleen Beasley O’Neal; many grand-pups and his cats; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
