A Celebration of Life Service for Bobby "Bob" M. Bennett, Sr., age 88 of Enid will be 10:00am Monday, February 16, 2026, at the Oakwood Christian Church with Rev. Alan Seibel and Rev. Chris Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will follow the service in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 pm Sunday, February 15, 2025, at the funeral home.
Bob was born October 9, 1937, in Manchester, OK to Joseph E. and Inez Leota (Woodring) Bennett and passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, at his home surrounded by the love of his family.
Bob grew up in Manchester, where he completed high school and built lifelong friendships. On February 24, 1961, he married the love of his life Carolyn Sue Cunningham, in Alva, OK. The two shared nearly 65 wonderful years together, creating a home filled with laughter, love, and music.
In service to his country, Bob enlisted in the U. S. Army on February 2, 1960, and proudly served until his honorable discharge on January 31, 1966. Following his service, he embarked on a long and successful career with Koch Hydrocarbon in Medford, OK, where he worked as an Area Representative for 25 years before retiring. A man of deep faith, Bob was a devoted member of Oakwood Christian Church, active in the Seekers Sunday School Class and Prime timers' group. He found joy in fellowship, worship and serving others.
Bob had a true passion for music. Whether singing or playing with his band, he shared his gift of melody with anyone lucky enough to listen. Music was his way of bringing people together, spreading joy, and expressing gratitude for a life well lived.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn, his children Mike and Terri Bennett, Cheryl and Wade Patterson, Bobby and Karen Bennett, nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, his siblings Marge Simmons and Iona Sallee; sister-in-law Bonnie Bennett, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Floyd E. Bennett and Phil Bennett, sisters Betty Bryant and Minnie Terry and brother-in-law's, Jr Simmons, Wes Sallee, Buddy Terry, sister-in-law, Lavada Bennett.
Memorials may be made to Oakwood Christian Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodians of the funds.
