Susan "Susie" Chambers left us on the morning of February 9, 2026. She was born on December 16, 1956, in Enid, Oklahoma.
Susie will be missed by her family; husband, John Chambers, children Nicholas Williams, Stephanie Williams, Jennifer and son-in-law Chip Stapleton, five grandchildren; Jensen, Cole, Carter, Caleb and Chase, sister Marilyn and brother-in-law Tim Seivley, brothers Mike and Jeff Purdy, sister-in-law Jeanne and husband Larry Carrell and their children Misty Walter and Corey Carrell.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents David and Peggy Purdy and her son Matthew Williams.
Susie's love and support of her family knew no bounds. Family traditions were important to her. Susie loved celebrating birthdays and holidays surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 15 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Monday, February 16 at 11:00 am. Both will be at Petersen Family Funeral Home in Newton, Ks. Graveside service will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in rural Wakita, Oklahoma. She will be laid to rest next to her son, Matthew.
