Bobby Black Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Milton Funeral Home, LLC - Dade City on Jan. 19, 2026.
Bobby Lee Black was born in Tampa, Florida on December 27, 1965 to Bobby Lattimore and Mary Elouise Black. Bobby was a graduate of Osceola High School. He obtained his Commercial Driver's License (CDL), in 1990. Bobby drove semi-trucks, until he found his forever work-home at the City of Zephyrhills. He became employed at the City of Zephyrhills, Sanitation Department as a Garbage Man/Waste Collector in 1993. He later became a Garbage Truck Driver. Bobby didn't know it then, but he would later become the Superintendent of the Sanitation Department. Over 30 years was spent training, mentoring, and leading new waste management employees. He was not only a boss, but a father figure, a brother, and a friend to everyone that crossed his path. His smile alone, could light up any room that he entered. Bobby's laugh would warm anyone's heart. He always knew exactly what to say, when others needed inspiration. He always made time to be a listening ear to those that needed him. He did so without judgement, but he gave you honest feedback. Bobby was filled with so much love, and poured it into everyone. His loyalty was unmatched. More than anything, he was an amazing father to three beautiful children. His family always came first. To the world he was just a man, but to his children he was "SUPERMAN"! Bobby was a man that was the face of fashion. His style of dressing could never be duplicated. Bobby departed this life on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 in Zephyrhills, FL. He leaves behind: the mother of his children, Eunice Alexander-Black; his children, Tyashia Black-Wilson (Ronald), Bobby Black Jr., and Aljenaye Black; his siblings, Kathy Black, Norma Black, Kim Hampton, Taiwana Bell (Nathaniel), and Timothy Hill; his cousin/sister, Sheila Bush; his extended brother, Cornelius Alexander (Alejandrina); his granddaughter, Bobbi Bailey Wilson; two best friends, Roscoe Neil and Dondi Ward; and a host of beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, co-workers, and friends.
