Bobby Wayne Bland

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Bland, age 84, will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey Jackson officiating.  Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 5 P.M. till 8 P.M. and on Friday from 10 A.M. till service time.   Mr. Bland passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, surrounded by family.   Bobby was born in Friendship, TN to the late Willie Sherrod (W.S.) Bland and Elvie Alford Bland. They moved to the Medina area in the 1930’s and he attended school at Fairview. He married Martha Jane Avery in 1957.  They shared nearly 64 years together before her passing in May of 2021. Bobby worked hard all his life as a row crop and truck patch farmer. He also worked for King Bradley Construction, Kraft Foods, the Medina Gin Company and as a commercial fisherman.  Other than farming, fishing, BBQ, woodworking, and his family were his greatest enjoyment.   Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Albert Bland, Clyde Bland; sisters, Katie Allbritton, Jean Laroque; nephews, Chuck Bland, Edward Bland, Kevin Lapka.   He is survived by his daughter, Miranda Gayle Cooper and husband Stephen; son, Bobby Wayne, Jr. and wife Kathryn; brothers, Thomas Bland, William and wife Connie Bland, Carman and wife Susan Bland, Jerry Kenny and wife Beth Bland; grandchildren, Tracy Marie Cooper, Leah Beth Bland, Brionna Grant; brother-in-law, Bill Laroque; several nieces and nephews.   Pallbearers to serve are Barry, Mark, Tommy, Darryl, Scottie, James Harold Bland. Honorary pallbearers are Tim, Randy, Mike, Donnie, Daniel, Hunter Bland, Tim Epperson.
