Memorial Services for Bobby Braly, will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Parkview Baptist Church in Alexandria, Louisiana, with Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana in charge of arrangements.
Bobby Braly, age 86, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternity on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his first wife of 60 years, Carol Braly; his parents, Lester and Ottie Braly; and his older brother, Sonny Braly.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Braly; his children, Kerrie Braly Martin, Ron Wilson (Julianne), Leann Gardner (Michael), and Enoch "Toot" Walker (Pam); his grandchildren, Julianne, Katelyn, and Christopher Martin, Christopher Wilson, Larry Hendrix, Brittany Walker Bouwkamp, Blaine Walker; his 7 great-grandchildren; his brother, Nickey Braly; his niece and nephews, Suzanne, Kevin, and Matt Braly; other family and friends.
Born on December 8, 1938 in Bullard, Texas, Bobby was a graduate of Bullard High School, East Texas Baptist University, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
He pastored numerous churches in Central and East Texas and North, Central, and South Louisiana. Bro. Bob, as he was known, was also a chaplain with the Louisiana State Police and the Alexandria Police and Fire Departments. For a while he taught the death notification course at the Alexandria Police Academy. Until recently, he held a weekly Bible Study at Detention Center 2, under the direction of the Rapides Parish Sheriff's office.
