Bobby Burleson

 Bobby Burleson, 79, has completed his earthly journey and, after a courageous battle with cancer, entered into eternal victory. On January 21, 2026, Bobby peacefully transitioned from his earthly body into his heavenly one at home, surrounded by those who loved him most. He now stands whole and restored before his Savior, Jesus Christ, having taken his first triumphant steps into Paradise.

 Bobby was born on July 11, 1946, in Knox City, Texas, to Tinie Lewis Burleson and Leona Whitsitt Burleson. He lived a life marked by steadfast faith, quiet strength, and unwavering integrity.

 He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa G. Burleson; his devoted children, John Wayne Burleson and wife Ashley; and Jennifer Michelle Burleson Crites and husband Bryan; his stepdaughter, Tami Deshotel; and his stepson, Mickey Glover. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Chance Crites, Madison Crites, Emily Crites, Cassie Deshotel, and Dorthy Guinn, as well as his brother, Joe Burleson.

 Bobby was loved and held in high regard by friends that are too numerous to mention.

 He was preceded in death by his first wife, Teresa L. Burleson; his parents; his sisters, Dorothy Arwine and Vicky Garcia; and his brother, Walter Burleson.

 Bobby leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and integrity—a life lived humbly yet powerfully for Christ. Though deeply missed, his family finds comfort in the promise of reunion and the assurance that this goodbye is not forever.

 We will meet you at the throne of Christ, Bobby.

 A visitation will begin at noon on Monday, February 2, 2026, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church, 2731 N FM 129, Santo, Texas 76472, with burial to follow at Ash Creek Cemetery, on S. Stewart St, in Azle, Texas.
