Bobby Wayne Duren

Bobby Duren, age 78 of Gordo, Alabama passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, February 09, 2026. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, February 13, 2026, at New Hope Church with Bro. Woody Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Don Duren, Johnny Duren and Marvin Duren; son-in-law, Cory Lane; brother-in-law, Joe Crowe and sister-in-law, Sarah Duren.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Joan Duren; daughters. Christy Lane and Amy Wallin (Daniel); son, Robby Duren(Ginny); grandsons, Cody Lane (Breanna), Devin Tilley(Caden), Logan Lane, Kade Wallin, Colton Wallin and Wesley Duren; granddaughter, Avery Duren; great-grandchildren, Addison, Garrett, Cooper and Callie Beth; brother, Ralph Duren; sisters, Martha Crowe and Lynn Stafford (Dale); brother-in-law Dwight Herring (Geraldine); sisters-in-law, Blanche Duren, Carol Duren and Patsy Duren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Bobby was born January 31, 1948, in Gordo, Alabama to the late R.V. Duren and Porter Elmore Duren. He was a member of New Hope Church, a retired electrician and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Honorary Pallbearers Daniel Wallin, Ray Duren, Frank Duren, Keith Duren, Guy Duren, Miecree Cannon, Duncan Cannon, Kevin Herring and Ben Herring.
