Robert Clarence Etten, age 82, resident of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Born on December 16, 1942, in Libertyville, Illinois, Robert was the son of the late Edwin Etten and the late Anna Hertel Etten. He graduated from Elkhorn High School in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and went on to enjoy a fulfilling 30-year career with Getzen Band Instruments, retiring in 2000.
Robert was a man of many interests. He loved bowling, thrift shopping, and traveling, but most of all riding his motorcycle. He was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church and was involved with the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews: Teri Etten, Sheri Piontek, Mary Jo Azad, Mike Etten, Mark Etten, Evelyn Etten, Victoria Healey-Etten, Mary Ann Purvis, Rita G. Streit, Kathy Louise Long, Patricia Jean Grossen, Susan Marie Golding, William Gerard Dale, James Gerard Dale, Wes Bond, Raymond Bond, Barb Loudon, and Katelyn Rowell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joel Etten, and his siblings: Anna Mae Dale, Joseph Etten, Edward Etten, Martha Bond, and Judy Rowell.
