Bobby Fanning Obituary
Preston - Bobby "Bob" Lee Fanning, 38, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at his home. He was born on June 2, 1987 in Ventura, California to Maria Fanning. Bobby married Megan Marie (Mercer) Fanning on October 10, 2020 in Inman. They were married for 4 years.
Bobby attended Pratt High School. He worked as a sales associate at Wal-Mart. He enjoyed cooking, playing with the puppies, watching movies, playing video games, creative writing, making great smelling skin lotions, researching and learning new things.
He is survived by his mother, Maria Swisher; wife, Megan Fanning; brothers, Gary (Brandy) Collins of Pratt and Phil (Elizabeth) Swisher of Wichita; aunt, Cathy Fanning of Ventura, California; mother in-law, Yvonne Mercer of Preston; and brother in-law, Matthew Mercer of Hutchinson.
Bob is preceded in death by his father in-law, Jesse Mercer and grandmother, Mary Fanning.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Preston Senior Center, 305 N. Main St., Preston, Kansas 67583.
Memorials may be made to Suicide Prevention. Online condolences may be made at www.larrisonmortuary.com.
