Bobby Don Fowler

Bobby Don Fowler, 84, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

Funeral service is 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd with burial at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service.

Jeff Tackett will officiate. Pallbearers are Hunter Jennings, Mason Jennings, Caleb Dyson, Mark North, Corbett Jennings and Dale Richey. Honorary pallbearers are Bryson Jennings and Huston Myers.

Bobby was born January 2, 1941 to William Thomas and Flossie Alabama (Underwood) Fowler in Boyd, Texas. He was united in marriage to Thelma Ann Fowler in Fort Worth, Texas, December 25, 1995. Bobby graduated from Boyd High School in 1959. After high school Bobby joined several family members working at Montgomery Ward in Fort Worth, soon after he started his career at General Dynamics where he would retire after 35 years of service as a supervisor. Bobby was also a part-time local barber for many years and pursued his hobby as a real estate investor around Wise County, above all he loved spending time with his family. Bobby professed Jesus Christ as his savior in 1968 and became an ordained Vocational Minister in 1985. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Flossie Fowler; his wife, Thelma Fowler; his brothers, Billy Gene Fowler, J.T. Fowler; his sister, Mildred Smith; 3 nephews and 2 nieces.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters; Elizabeth Jennings and husband Corbett of Azle, Cindy Richey and Dale of Alvord; his grandsons, Bryson Jennings and wife Jenna, Hunter Jennings and wife Samantha and Mason Jennings; his granddaughters, Rachel Myers and husband Huston and Emily Tackett; his great grandchildren, William and Harper Jennings; and the mother of his daughters, Carolyn Fowler; numerous extended family, and a host of friends.
