Bobby Gene Hicks

Bobby Gene Hicks, 94, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Victory Baptist Church in Tifton with the Rev. Mark Myers officiating. Mr. Hicks will be laid to rest at Macon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Victory Baptist Church in Tifton from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Born September 26, 1931, in Albany, Mr. Hicks was the son of the late Herbert Aldine Hicks and Ruby Elizabeth Sanders Hicks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Mary Lee Maddux Hicks. Before retiring, he was the manager of both Colonial Stores and Big Star Foods. He was of the Methodist faith.

Mr. Hicks is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tim Cummings of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Joan Hicks of Carrollton; five grandchildren, Bryan Hicks, Jennifer Alexander, Heather Dailey, Brett Hicks and Kristen McMillan; and ten great-grandchildren.
