MR. BOBBY J. "PEE WEE" IVEY, age 71, of Thomson, GA passed on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the Thomson Health and Rehabilitation. Family members and friends may call at the funeral home. THOMSON FUNERAL SYSTEM, Thomson, GA oversees all arrangements.
MR. BOBBY J. IVEY, age 71, departed this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the Thomson Health and Rehabilitation formerly the Thomson Manor Nursing Home in Thomson, Georgia. He was born on Wednesday, January 20, 1954, in Warrenton, Georgia. Bobby lived a life full of adventure, love, and generosity.
Bobby's career was just as dynamic as his spirit. He worked as a machine operator for the former Knox-Rivers Construction Company of Thomson, Georgia. He worked at various job destinations within the C.S.R.A. alongside his co-workers for many years. However, it was the openness of working outside that truly captured his heart. As a dedicated employee, his job became his passion.
Beyond his work, Bobby had a deep love for his family and friends. He received his childhood education by attending the public school system in McDuffie County, Georgia. Early in life, he accepted Christ as his Savior and joined the Stoney Grove Christian Methodist Episcopal Church of Warrenton, Georgia.
Bobby had a wonderful heart. May his kind-hearted spirit and pleasant personality forever be cherished by all who knew him, and may his memory bring comfort to those who loved him. He will be truly missed. He is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Mae Ivey; his father, Harves Worrell, Sr.; a sister, Diane Brown Harris and one brother, Melvin Brown.
All his love in addition to the many precious memories of days gone by will be cherished by those who have survived him: his loving siblings, Garvin Lee Brown, Larry (Joann) Brown, David A. Brown, Willam (Penny L.) Brown, Aaron Brown, Edith Mae Ivey and Tina Casey; aunts, Bobbie Jean Ivey, Leana Ivey, Robie Mae Johnson, Mary Jackson, Susie Mae Brown, Alene Ivey and Vivian Ann Brown; uncles, Willie Major, Andrew Brown, William Hobbs, Jr. and Robert Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
