Bobby Jones, age 69, passed away at his home in Pine Knot, Kentucky on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
Bobby was the husband of Nola (Sutton) Jones, they were joined in marriage on November 15, 1991. He was born in Slavans, Kentucky to the late Gertie Jones Phillips on April 18, 1954.
Besides his mother, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Jones.
He was a Christian and he liked stock car racing. He loved helping his friends. He was known for working on lawnmowers and had the nickname “The Lawn Mower Man”.
Bobby is survived by: his wife; his daughter, Michelle Jones Thompson (Craig), of Indiana; his son, Bobby Jones Jr. (Laura), of Indiana; and five grandchildren, Maxwell, Alexa, Sophia, Jarett, and Payton.
Funeral services for Bobby will be held at the Pine Knot Funeral Home at 2:00pm EST on Friday, August 11, 2023, with Bro. Braxton King officiating. The family will receive friends after 12:00pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service and will be in the Roberts-Slavans Cemetery located on Hobert Roberts Road in Stearns, Kentucky.
