Timothy Ray Cox, age 68, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at his home in Whitley City, Kentucky.
Born October 9, 1957, in Jellico, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Rube Arthur and Lena Clara (Perry) Cox. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Rube Arthur Cox, Jr.
Surviving family include his wife of 48 years, Patsy Michelle (Clark) Cox of Whitley City, whom he married December 23, 1977, sons Erik Cox (Amanda) of Georgetown, Kentucky and Jeremy Cox (Jasmine) of Virginia. He has two sisters, Lisa Worley (Rick) of Harlan, Kentucky and Regina Cox of Pine Knot.
Mr. Cox had worked in road construction for Reynolds Construction Company. He enjoyed metal work, machine repair, welding and working on tractors.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026, graveside at the Whitley City Church of God Cemetery with Jeremy Cox officiating.
