Bobby "Tooter" King, a man of remarkable warmth, kindness, and unparalleled skill, departed from this world on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on July 27, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, Bobby was a beacon of love and laughter, who dedicated his life to the joy of his family and friends. His spirit remains vibrant in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him and share in the simple yet profound pleasures of life spent by his side.
A gentle giant with an infectious smile, Bobby's welcoming nature made everyone feel at home. He was rarely seen without a tool in his hand, as fixing things was not just a skill but a passion. From beloved family trucks—his cherished '48, '55, and '56 models—to the countless repairs around the home, he infused each project with love and dedication. Bobby's knack for turning the ordinary into something extraordinary will linger in the hearts of all who experienced his handiwork.
Family gatherings were a source of joy for Bobby. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, weaving together stories filled with laughter and warmth. His beloved spouse of 45 years, Lainie King, along with his children Bobbie Elaine (spouse – Justin), Brian, and Ashley (spouse – Matt), hold onto those sweet memories, forever written in the tapestry of their lives. The pride he felt for his grandchildren Landon, Liam, and Logan was immeasurable; they were his stars, brightening his days with their innocent laughter and boundless curiosity.
He leaves behind a loving legacy that will always be remembered by his sisters, Cindy and Sherry, and brother, Shane Bo, who carry forth his spirit and the indelible mark he has left on their hearts.
Predeceased by his father W.L. King and mother Jo Ann Burns, as well as his sister Gina King, Bobby’s life was shaped by the profound love and values instilled in him by his family. Now reunited in eternal life, their memories dance together in the warmth of their shared love.
