Bobby Joe Kirby, 62, husband of Sharlene Cribb, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at his home in Johnsonville, South Carolina.

A son of the late Arthur Manning (Sr) and Earlene "Flossie" Kirby, Bobby Joe was born on April 30, 1963, in Florence, South Carolina. Bobby was a master carpenter who used his skills for many years in the field of construction.

Bobby lived a life rooted in simplicity and the values of the countryside. Known as a good old country boy, he found joy and peace in the great outdoors where he loved to cast a line into a quiet stream, river, or pond. He cherished times spent traveling around and being able to spend time camping. Bobby was most at home surrounded by nature. His greatest enjoyment was the love he found when spending time with family and friends. Bobby attended Word of Life Church in Johnsonville where he participated regularly in the activities of the congregation.

In addition to his wife, Bobby Joe is survived by a step-son, Derek (Nicole) Collins; a 'heart-felt' daughter, Tracy Evans; grandchildren Alyssa, Logan, Willie, Emma, and Nathan; sisters, Darlene (Thomas) Casselman and Donna (Dale) McKenzie; brother, Donnie Dean Kirby; special nieces Keshia Kirby and Harley Evans; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bobby Joe was predeceased by a step-daughter, Morgan Collins; a sister, Marlene Casselman; a brother, Arthur Manning Kirby, Jr.; and a niece, Jessica Kirby.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Word of Life Church located at 942 S. Clayfield Road, Johnsonville, South Carolina, 29555. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Word of Life Church.
