Bobby Lee Lackey

Bobby Lackey passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on Wednesday evening at approximately 6:15. While our family will never be the same, we rejoice knowing Bobby began his Wednesday night dancing on the streets of gold, reunited with the little boy he never had the chance to hold, along with other family members and friends who have already received their heavenly reward.

Bobby was born in Altus, Oklahoma, to the late Ewell and Faye Lackey. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He shared 62 loving years of marriage with his faithful wife, Margie Lackey.

Bobby was very active in church and loved serving the Lord, especially through leading worship and singing specials. His faith was evident in every part of his life. He was also known for his joyful spirit, Bobby loved cutting up and was a true jokester, always ready with a smile or a laugh to brighten someone's day.

His earthly body had grown tired, weak, and weary, but God, in His perfect timing, gave him a new and glorified one. In early December, Bobby was given a glimpse of glory, and from that moment forward, he no longer feared death but embraced it with peace and confidence in his faith.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Margie Lackey; his children, Conni (Tony) Carey and Lori (Eric) Dawson; his siblings, Kathy (Mike) Burks and Jerry (Tami) Lackey; his grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, and Jami Carey, and Nathaniel Dawson; and his great-grandchildren, Chanel Marin, Jeremiah Carey, and Aspen Spell.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 2nd from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home 155 Section Line Rd.

A Homegoing Celebration Service will take place Tuesday, February 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at Refuge Church, 3217 Airport Rd., Pearcy, AR 71964.

Pallbearers Don Blasingame, Bob Warford, Glenn Ellis, Geoff Talley, Jr. Hamilton, Chantry Copaus.

Honorary Pallbearers Michael Cloud, Sandy Walker, Eric Dawson, Tony Carey, and Justin Carey.

In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to Refuge Church.

Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens.
