Frank W. Lackey

Lackey, Frank – of Burton, age 68, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Hurley Medical Center. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Frank was born August 21, 1957, in Flint, Michigan to the late Frank and Rosalyn (Altene) Lackey. Frank was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Frank married the love of his life, Christi Debus, on November 4, 1978. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with countless memories. As a devoted family man, Frank found his greatest joy in his children and grandchildren, who were his world. He possessed a joyful spirit and an easy-going personality, bringing laughter and warmth to everyone he met. For 32 years, he was employed as a die maker at General Motors, retiring in 2020. He selflessly worked a physically demanding job to give his family the life he thought they deserved. As a man of God, Frank shared his kindness and faith as a Deacon at Eastgate Baptist Church, where he touched many lives. In his spare time, Frank loved to hit the golf course and restore trucks with his friends, finding happiness in every swing and every project. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, exemplifying the belief that a good man is measured by how he treats others. Frank will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of joy, kindness, and love will forever remain in our hearts.

Surviving are: Loving wife, Christi Lackey; Children: Zachary (Meghan) Lackey, Rachel Lackey (Sean), and Caitlin (Luke) Nystrom; Grandchildren: Cameron Lackey, Emily Lackey, Elliot Nystrom, Wilder Nystrom; Sister, Darlene (Charlie) McKee; Sisters-In-Laws: Cathy (Ron) Prevett and Anita (Phil) Smith; Nieces and nephews: Anthony, Nicole, Adam, Kyle, Kacy, Phillip and Austin; He was blessed with many good friends. He is preceded in passing by his parents and niece, Vanessa.
