Richard "Ricky" Sherrill II

SHERRILL, Richard II "Ricky" – of Clio, age 42, died Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Funeral service will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Sarah LaRose officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family for future designation.

Ricky was born on September 5, 1983, in Flint, to Richard and Debra (Waldrop) Sherrill. He attended Clio High School and proudly worked in construction for much of his life. Ricky shared many years with the love of his life and best friend, Cristal Barette. Their love will forever endure as they are joyfully reunited and rocking out together in Heaven. Ricky was known for his infectious laughter, passion for music – especially metal and the classics, and his unwavering love for his family. He knew no stranger and always made sure to put a smile on your face no matter the mood he was in. Ricky was one of a kind, the life of the party, and most importantly, the best son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed, and his legacy will continue to live on in the lives of those who knew him.

Ricky is forever loved and remembered by: Parents, Richard and Debra; Sisters: Patricia Waldrop, Kristi (Matt) Kerperien, and Carlee Sherrill; Beloved nieces: Sierra, Madison, and Rylee Kerperien; Grandmother, Gloria Galvan; Lifelong friend, Dereck Dunckel. Ricky was preceded in death by: Fiancé, Cristal; Grandparents: Paul (Mavis) Waldrop and Robert Sherrill; Uncles: Paul and Al (Charlene) Waldrop and John and Robert Sherrill.
