Bobby “Upside Down Bob” Long, 70, of Seale, AL, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am EST, Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Calvary Tabernacle Church, 4885 Lee Road 246, Smiths Station, AL with Rev. Jammie Holloway officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the church.
Bobby was born March 20, 1954 in Ft. Collins, CO, son of the late Ellen Curtis Smith. He worked in the construction industry for most of his career. Bobby was working as a Maintenance Supervisor with Allen Development when he retired. He was a former Chaplain for the Heaven Saints Motorcycle Ministry and also a Co-Founder of the Hands and Feet of Jesus Ministry. Bobby was a long time member of Calvary Tabernacle Church, where he served as a Board Member, on the Worship Team and in the Children’s Ministry. His hobbies included woodworking and playing his guitar and piano.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother.
He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Tammy Odom; one daughter; one son; three brothers; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several extended family members and friends.
