Faye Randall Benton, 82, of Phenix City, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025. A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm EST on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, concluding with a funeral service at 2:00 pm EST officiated by Rev. Rodney Mitchell.

Faye Benton was born on June 3, 1943, to the late Grady Lemuel Randall and Eva Elizabeth Randall. She graduated from Smiths Station High School then worked for EBCO Battery Company for 40 years until retirement. Faye enjoyed listening to music and dancing any time she could. She was a great cook, well known for her fried cornbread patties and potato cakes. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing. Faye loved watching the Braves and college football. Most of all, she loved her family. She looked forward to her family meals on Sundays and being with her family as much as she could. Faye will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Faye Benton is preceded in death by her husband, Edward O. Benton; parents, Grady Lemuel Randall and Eva Elizabeth Randall; sister, Glenda Jernigan; step-daughter, Sheria Cabanne Phillips; and dear friend, David Funderburk.

Faye is survived by her son, Jeff Thomason; daughter, Lisa Ragan (Phil); step-son, Cabot Benton; sister, Elizabeth Jane Ivey (Harrell); grandchildren, Megan Nicole Jordan (Brandon), and Cason Ragan; step-granddaughters, Taylor Benton, Cacey Benton, and Carley Benton; and great-grandchildren, Gunnar Lee Jordan and Walker Lane Jordan.
