Bobby Gene McGory

Okolona-On October 9, 2023 Bobby Gene McGory went home to be with the Lord.
Today we celebrate the life and home going of a great husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Bobby was born October 8 1945 to the late Minnie Mae Carter and Henry Stovall of Houston MS. He had a lifelong passion for truck driving and drove for more than 50 years and traveled all over the world doing what he loved the most, meeting new people and driving a truck.
A service celebrating Bobby's life will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Holland Funeral Directors-Okolona Chapel at 1:00 Pm with Reginald Lagrone officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 Am until service time on Saturday. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving their friends.
He will be forever cherished by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy McGory, a son, Servantes McGory, a daughter, Barbara Lynn Chandler; 2 brothers, Donnie Carter, N.B. Carter; a sister, Maxine Richardson; his grandchildren, Christy McGory, Jonathan Ray McGory, Barry Townsend, LaNishia Finnie, Nina Dawson, Seirra Dawson, Magen Durham, Devaughntae Spann, Allen Spann, Bianca Finnie, and Ariel Dunlap and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two sons Michael McGory and Bobby Ray McGory; two daughters, Josephine Dawson and Jennifer Finnie; two brother, Charles Carter Sr., and Roger Carter; a grandson, Damian Finnie;
