Bobby Dale McVay was born on February 26, 1956 to Edward Dale McVay and Jeanine "Sue" Taylor McVay in Killeen, Texas. Bobby graduated high school in 1974, from Interstate 35 (Truro). His family home was in St. Charles, Iowa.
Bobby married Betty Elizabeth Boatwright in 1975 and had two children with her, Heather Dawn and Jonathan Dale. After divorcing, Bobby found a new partner in Gina Snyder and they had a daughter, Hillary Ann, in addition to Gina's son, Jeremy Michael; though, never married, the two were together many years.
A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, Bob would often be found at family holidays near the television when the game was on, loudly cheering or jeering at the screen. He highly enjoyed a good game of pool and tried to get family members to play whenever he could. His true passion in life, however, was fishing. Bobby would go anytime, day or night, if he thought the fish would be biting.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sue, his older brother, Billy, and his beloved son, Jonathan Dale. Bobby is immediately survived by both his daughters, Heather Wesenberg (Patrick Flaugher) and Hillary Snyder, his (step)son Jeremy (Kelly) Snyder, two nephews, Lance and Kyle McVay, as well as six grandchildren: Scott Wesenberg, Rian Wesenberg, Destiny Snyder, Aiden Snyder, Zara Flaugher and Jace Flaugher, four step-grandchildren: McKennea Snyder, Dayke Snyder, Jeremiah Snyder and Khalia Snyder; and is also survived by one great-grandchild Rylee Herrig and her soon to be born sister, Harper Herrig.
In leu of flowers, the family asks you to please spend time in your local parks and favorite fishing holes.
