Bobby Gene Mitchell Jr.

Bobby Gene Mitchell Jr., 71, of Atlanta, Georgia died early Monday morning, November 17, 2025.
Born January 10, 1954, in Edenton, NC, he was the son of Bobby G. Mitchell, Sr. and Pat Cargile Ferris.
He lettered in baseball at Towers High School, Decatur, GA and graduated in 1972. After high school Bobby attended Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Bobby loved Jesus, family, classic cars, classic rock, good food, and the Georgia Bulldogs. His favorite scripture was James 1:25, "But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does."
He was preceded in death by his father Bobby G. Mitchell, Sr., step-mom Virginia Mitchell, mother Pat Cargile Ferris, and younger brother Timothy I. Mitchell, Sr.
Bobby left behind his brothers Dan Mitchell (Debra), John Crowder (Karen), sisters Vickie Hogan (Sim), Christie Mitchell, Connie Mitchell, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Marietta City Cemetery, 420 W Atlanta Street, Marietta, GA 30060. Pastor Joel Crumpton will officiate.
