Robert Southard Obituary
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, James Daniel Southard and Mary Sue Southard from Snellville, Georgia. He is survived by his son, Sean Daniel Southard and his fiancé, Elli Talbot from Goffstown, New Hampshire; Sean's mother, Rachel Fogarty from Bristol, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia K. Upchurch and Rickey C. Upchurch from Greensboro, GA; brother, Timothy K. Southard from Snellville, GA; niece, Courtney N. Henson and husband, Ben and their children, Jack and Lucy from Athens, Alabama.
The Southard family was raised in Decatur, GA. Danny attended Towers High School and DeKalb College. He retired as a manager of the electrical department of DeKalb County School District.
Danny will always be remembered as a wonderful son, brother, father and a good friend to many. Known for his kind nature and his love for motorcycles.
He will be dearly missed.
A gathering will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA.

I worked with Danny at DeKalb Schools for many years. I just saw him at our retirement luncheon in August. We talked about old times and had a few laughs. He was a good friend and he will be missed. My condolences to his family.
