It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bobby Jack Moore of Beattyville, Kentucky, who passed away after a brief battle with cancer.
Bobby Jack served his country as a young man in the United States Army. He was a devoted father and grandfather, cherishing every moment spent with his children and seven grandchildren. He had a love for Western movies and was a lifelong fan of University of Kentucky basketball and football.
Bobby Jack is survived by his longtime companion, Teresa Caudill; his three sons, Timothy Moore (Samantha) of Lexington, Kentucky, Michael Moore (Emma) of New Haven, Indiana, and Aaron Moore (Monika Stalewska) of Lexington; and his seven grandchildren.
He is also survived by two brothers and a sister: Charlene Wells (Jerry) of Richmond, Kentucky; Larry Moore (Sonia) of Ashland, Kentucky; and Michael Moore (LuAda) of Webster, Texas. In addition, he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Bobby Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Dillard and Cleta Moore; a brother, Dillard Darrell Moore; and two sisters, Alice Faye Moore Sons and Sandra Kay Moore Phillips.
Those who knew Bobby Jack will remember him for his quiet strength, his dependable nature, and his deep love for family. His memory and legacy will continue in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Many prayers for Bob's immediate family. I grew up on Mooretown and am a cousin. I also worked with him at Lee Adjustment Center. He was a quiet man but when he spoke, he did so with dignity and respect. He was respected and liked by his co-workers.
