BOBBY PEEKS - Bobby Joe Peeks, age 87, of Columbus, MS, passed away October 18, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Seay officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at Ethelsville Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

     Mr. Peeks was born May 28, 1938, in Reform, AL, to the late Leon and Willie Mae Kelly Peeks.  He worked for a number of years for Cash & Carry before starting Peeks Construction where he worked for over 60 years as owner and operator.  Mr. Peeks attended Ethelsville Baptist Church and was a member of Coon Hunters Cove Hunting Club.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Peeks, grandson, Colson Peeks, brothers, Danny Peeks, Billy Ray Peeks, Frank Peeks, Jack Peeks, and William Peeks, and sister, Margie Nell Gaught.

     Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Carolyn Owens Peeks of Columbus, MS, sons, Cody Peeks of Columbus, MS, Bobby Joe Peeks, Jr. of Ethelsville, AL, and Brian Peeks of Columbus, MS, daughters, Tracy Peeks of Columbus, MS, and Sarah Peeks, brothers, James "Bud" Peeks of Columbus, MS, Jerry Peeks of Millport, AL, and Wayne Peeks of Millport, AL, sisters, Linda Gibson of Onteonta, AL, and Jewell Sandlin of Onteonta, AL, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

     Pallbearers will be Anthony Tedford, Jayson Baswell, Tyler Holman, Joe Peeks, Devin Vail, Devin Spruill, Ronnie Owens, and Cody Peeks.
