Bud Peeks

BUD PEEKS - James Henry "Bud" Peeks, age 90, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 27, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Seay officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at Ethelsville Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.

     Mr. Peeks was born June 1, 1935, in Millport, AL, to the late Leon and Willie Mae Kelly Peeks.  He worked for Airline Manufacturing for a number of years then worked alongside his late brother, Bobby Joe Peeks, at Peeks Construction for many years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Peeks, brothers, Danny Peeks, Billy Ray Peeks, Frank Peeks, Jack Peeks, William Peeks, and Bobby Joe Peeks, and sister, Margie Nell Gaught.

     Survivors include his grandson, James Lee Fisher of Conroe, TX, brothers, Wayne Peeks of Millport, AL, and Jerry Peeks of Millport, AL, sisters, Jewell Sandlin of Oneonta, AL, and Linda Gibson of Oneonta, AL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

     Pallbearers will be James Fisher, Hunter Holman, J. J. Baswell, and Michael Williams.
