Bobby Allen Sheets

Bobby Allen Sheets, of Ripplemead, Virginia departed this life on April 15, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on January 7, 1977, in Blacksburg, Virginia, Bobby was a man whose laughter and love of life left an indelible mark on those who knew him. He passed away peacefully in his home in Ripplemead, Virginia, surrounded by the natural beauty he so cherished.
Bobby's early years in Giles County set the stage for a lifetime of adventure and a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. His infectious humor and joyous spirit were a beacon of light for his family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Bobby was a devoted son to his parents, Carolyn and Merrill Conley, and a loving father to his son, Joseph Sheets. His legacy continues through his seven grandchildren, who will carry forward his zest for life and his love of laughter.
In addition to his immediate family, Bobby's life was enriched by his brother, Travis Conley, and his sisters, Erin Lindsey, Carol Conley, Mary Conley, April Payne, and Tammy Whittaker. He was a cherished uncle to his 17 nieces and nephews, and a grand-uncle to several great-nieces and nephews. Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Lillian Williams, and his uncle, Dorsey Williams, both of whom he held in high regard and often reminisced about with fondness.
Professionally, Bobby was a hardworking and dedicated member of the local sawmill community. His work ethic and commitment were as strong as his bond with nature. Those who knew Bobby will remember him as the quintessential jokester. His humor was a gift that he shared generously, never missing an opportunity to bring a smile to someone's face. His love for the outdoors was evident in every aspect of his life. Whether he was fishing, hunting, camping, or riding his 4-wheeler, Bobby was in his element. He had an affinity for animals, and they, in turn, were drawn to his kind and gentle nature.
The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM in Kendall Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM in Kendall Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Poff officiating. Funeral services will conclude in the Fillinger Cemetery where he will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to Kendall Funeral Home (PO Box 7 Pembroke, Virginia 24136) to assist in offsetting the costs of funeral expenses.
