Bobby Ray Smith, age 89, of Rogers, Arkansas died Monday, June 9, 2025 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born September 1, 1935 in Wilmer, Arkansas.
Bobby graduated from Pine Bluff High School on May 27, 1954. He served in the Arkansas National Guard for 11 years. He moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1959. He owned and operated Smithco Office Supply, Inc. from April 1980 until February 1997.
Bobby was a member of many organizations: First Baptist Rogers, Arkansas where he served as a Deacon, Builders for Christ, United States Junior of Commerce (Jaycees), volunteer for Glorieta New Mexico Bible Camp, Sales and Marketing Association and Board Member of The Lost Bridge Village Association. Bobby enjoyed traveling with his wife Edna, owned several RV's and spending time in Branson, Missouri. Most of all he loved dessert!
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Gertrude Morgan Smith and Stanley Smith and two of his siblings; Stanley Smith Jr. and Shirley Pitts. Bobby is survived by: his wife; Edna Smith, of Rogers, his children: Eddie Smith of Rogers, Cindy Smith Walker and husband Tim of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Mary Smith Whalley and husband Greg of Houston, Texas, his brother; Derwood Smith and wife Janelle, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, his grandchildren: Austin Smith and wife Jessica, Cameron Smith and wife Ellery, Lauren Walker, Garrett Smith and wife Mary Carter Smith, Nick Whalley and wife Dr. Josie Coury, Daniel Smith, Katie Whalley Aboloff and husband Mason and his great grandchildren: Riley Schwyhart, Jordan Schwyhart and Phoebe Smith.
A celebration of Bobby's life will be Saturday at 9am at First Baptist Rogers located at the Pleasant Grove Campus. Family Inurnment will be at Rogers Cemetery immediately following the services.
Memorials may be sent to: First Baptist Rogers "Building Fund" or the charity of the donor's choice.
