Bobby Smith, a man whose heart was as green as the lawns he meticulously cared for, passed away on November 28, 2025. Born in Pineville, LA, on February 13, 1956, to James and Verline Smith.

Bobby had a unique way of making every yard that he touched come to life. His work in lawn care was not just his occupation, but his passion and his canvas. He painted the town green, one yard at a time, leaving an indelible mark on the heart of Alexandria and surrounding areas. His dedication to his craft was only surpassed by his dedication to those he loved.

Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James Smith, Sr., and Verline Smith.

A viewing and visitation will take place at Second Evening Star Baptist Church, 150 Cooper Road, Alexandria, Louisiana, 71303, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 2:00pm. The funeral service will follow at 3:00pm. Interment will be held at Garden of Memories, 2733 Eddie Williams Avenue, Alexandria, Louisiana, 71302.

Bobby's life was a testament to the simple beauty of nature, to the joy of hard work, and to the importance of family. His legacy will live on in the vibrant lawns of Alexandria, in the hearts of his loved ones, and in the memories of everyone who knew him.
