Bobby B. Stonecypher

Bobby B. Stonecypher, 96 of Columbus died Monday, March 17, 2025. Born December 5, 1928, in Wardville, Oklahoma, he was the son of Barney and Patricia Stonecypher. He served in The United States Army Air Corps. He worked for North American Aviation in Columbus, Ohio on the A-5 Vigilante and B-1 projects. He worked for Rockwell International on the Apollo Moon and Skylab projects at Cape Kennedy, Florida. He was active in The Inventors Network of Columbus, Ohio. He and his wife attended Liberty Barn Church, Delaware.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Barbara; daughters, Linda (David) Bush, Titusville, Florida, Dr. Karen Stonecypher, PhD., Manvel, Texas; sons, Robert (Beverly) Stonecypher, RN, Cape Coral, Florida and David Stonecypher, EE, Ashley, Ohio; 4 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and wife, of 34 years, Bonnie Stonecypher of Columbus, Ohio.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Thursday, March 27 at Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell, 450 West Olentangy Street, Powell, Ohio with Funeral Service to follow at 4:00 pm. Private Military Service and interment will be held at Reber Hill Cemetery, Ashville, Ohio.
