Bobby Dean Whitaker, 52, was born November 4, 1972 and left his earthly body April,29,2025.
Those that knew Bobby Dean would agree that he never met a stranger. He was the type of person that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Bobby Dean loved all his family and friends.
Bobby Dean is a 1991 graduate of Union Pines High School in Cameron, NC. Bobby has held a few jobs over the years. Some people may remember him from his days as a bagger at the IGA in Carthage. He worked at Ithaca hosiery mill in Robbins and spent many summers in the tobacco fields. During his time working in the warehouse at Carthage Farm Supply, he met many people and even had the kids looking forward to seeing their friend.
Bobby Dean is preceded in death by his stepfather Michael Lee Short, maternal uncles Alvin Faulkner and George Faulkner, and both sets of grandparents Fenner and Peggy Faulkner and Daniel and Estelle Gatewood.
Some of Bobby's girls fondest memories revolve around spending weekends visiting grandparents, attending Emmanuel Baptist Church with him, and just enjoying their time together with their dad.
Bobby Dean is survived by his mother Linda Short, father Larry Whitaker, two sisters KristieTyer (Scott) and Angela Williams (Ernest). Two daughters, Sabrina Pantaleon (Alejandro) and Lisa Donathan (Chris). Nine grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews, a great nephew, and a great niece.
Funeral service will be Saturday May 10, 2025 at 10:30 am at Summer Hill Baptist Church in Carthage NC with a Celebration of life to be held at 1 pm at Glendon Independent Christian Church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to the family, through cash donation, the Facebook go fund me link, or cash app $pinkdolphin979.
