Bobby Wiese Obituary

Bobby Charles Wiese Hertford - Bobby Charles Wiese passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in his home in Perquimans County on June 18, 2025.

A native of Rosebud, Texas, born on August 28, 1942, Bobby was the son of the late Richard and Inez Wiese. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, DeeAnn Cabron of New York.

At the heart of Bob's life was his family. Surviving is his wife, Dee Wiese of the home; three daughters, Darlene Currie of Canada, Anne Cooper of Currituck and Jennifer McGough (Adam) of Utah. Bob had nine grandchildren who he dearly loved. His legacy of strength and integrity lives through them. Also surviving are two brothers, Joe Wiese (Cynthia) of Texas and Andy Wiese (Rena) of Tennessee; and a sister, Debrah Griffin of Texas.

Per his request, there will be no funeral. His ashes will be scattered in the gulf stream by his grandson, Caleb where they fished so many times together.

The family kindly asks for no flowers but to please may make a contribution to the charity of one's choice in honor of Bob.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Dr. Leslie Robbins of Currituck and to Albemarle Home Care and Hospice for their wonderful job and great compassion provided for the family on every level of their service.

Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Rd, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Served with Bob meeting him in 1964 when he was transferred to E City working 130 chevks in Hangar 2 together and then again at Washington Airstation thru1978. Got together again when my son was transferred in2020 to E city. Bob was a hardcore Cowboy fan. Master Chief, AECM Wiese took my son under his wing and helped and taught him how to repair numerous things around his first new house. My friend will be missed by all who knew him, Rest in Peace my friend!

Dee, I was sad to learn of Bobby's passing. He was such a caring & giving person. I remember him servicing my HVAC system for many years, & how he'd brag about going to Canada to babysit! He was well respected in the Coast Guard. My prayers and condolences to you and the rest of the family. There will never be another like "Bobby Wiese". May he rest in peace. May the memories he shared live on in your hearts.
