Bobby Lynn Wilkin

Bobby Lynn Wilkin, age 92, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 11:10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the Missouri Veteran's Home, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. He was born January 25, 1932, in Barry County, Missouri, the son of Rex and Wilma (Robbins) Wilkin.
Bobby was a 1949 graduate of Aurora High School and was a United States Army veteran severing during the Korean War. He was a Minister and a member of the Aurora Fundamental Methodist Church.
On December 17, 1972, he married Melba Bennett, in Wichita, Kansas.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 51 years, Melba; one daughter, Nita Hickman and her husband, Tim, of Verona, Missouri; one son, Ray Wilkin and his wife, Lisa, of Drexel, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kyle, Morgan, Devin and Ashtin; nine great- grandchildren, Konner, Raelynn, Adelynn, Redmond, Peyton, Gus, Wade, Liam and Ray; one sister, Carol McClurg and her husband, Ralph, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Rex, and Wilma; his first wife, Phyletta "Blondie" (Metcalf) Wilkin; one sister, Elizabeth Johnson and one brother, Gale Wilkin.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Aurora Fundamental Methodist Church. A burial will follow at the Crane Community Cemetery in Crane, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
