Bobby Ray Williamson

Bobby Williamson, 78, passed away on May 16, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Born on February 26, 1946, to Alfred A. and Ocie Williamson, Bobby grew up in Ringgold, Louisiana. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Forest Park West Cemetery, located at 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport, Louisiana. Rev. Andy Goff, pastor of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, will be presiding. 

Bobby served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. After his time in service, Bobby was a welder and practiced his trade in both the offshore and manufacturing industries before retiring early due to medical reasons.  After spending many years as a bachelor, he met his wife, Judy, at church and married her in 1994. Judy was the love of his life, and Bobby said on many occasions his life did not begin until he met Judy. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Williamson. Left to remember him are his sister, Mary Williamson Yacks and husband, Mike; stepdaughter, Michele Hammonds and husband, John; and stepson, Steven Broomfield and wife, Lisa. He is also survived by grandchildren, Sarah Hammonds, Kelcy Hammonds, Allison Broomfield, Gracie Broomfield, Brandon Broomfield and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, as well as great-great-nieces and nephews.
