Bobby Willis

Bobby Willis was born on January 21, 1957, in Griffin, Georgia, to Christine (Willis) Sands and the late David Gaston. He was raised by his loving mother and late stepfather, William Sands, who instilled in him strong values of faith, hard work, and compassion, principles that guided him throughout his life.

Bobby attended Griffin High School and later joined Job Corps during his 11th-12th grade year, where he graduated with his welding certificate. He held various jobs over the years before beginning his dedicated career with the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT), where he faithfully served for 11 years before retiring.

In 1994, Bobby met the love of his life, Wyucha (Ragland) Willis. Their connection was instant and undeniable, built on friendship, faith, and mutual respect. The two were united in marriage in 2000, and together they shared 31 wonderful years together.

Bobby's impact extended far beyond his family and career. For over 35 years, he was an active and devoted member of Narcotics Anonymous (NA), where he found purpose in mentoring, guiding, and inspiring others on their journeys to recovery. Through his compassion and unwavering belief in people's ability to change, Bobby touched countless lives, helping individuals reclaim hope and rebuild their futures. His legacy of service, encouragement, and faith continues to shine brightly through all those he helped.

Bobby will be remembered for his kind heart, his warm smile, and his ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued. His humor could brighten any day, and his strength uplifted those around him.

Bobby leaves behind his devoted wife, Wyucha Willis; his loving mother, Christine (Willis) Sands; his brother, Willie G. Gaston; and his sister, Brenda Andrews. He was preceded in death by his father, David Gaston, and his sister, Diane Sands. He'll also be leaving behind a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, along with many dear friends and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
