Bobbye Jean Bullock Hughes, 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Morton Care Center, surrounded by loved ones.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Clinton at 1:00 p.m.
She was born in Ripley, Mississippi on February 25, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer F. Bullock and Vernon Childs Bullock; her brothers, HC Bullock, Rex Bullock, Max Bullock, Sam Bullock and her sister, Patricia Bullock Simmons.
She is survived by her three children, Cindy Hughes Sumrall (Clarence) of Sylvarena, Ken Hughes (Angela) of Brandon, and Vicky Hughes Snowden (Stan) of Brandon; 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of special family members and friends.
She left a legacy of faith to her children and grandchildren. She loved the Lord, and the joy of her life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The honorary service will be led by her grandson, Colby Dickson, and special music provided by her son, Ken Hughes and daughter-in-law Angela Hughes.
Pallbearers are Matthew Sumrall, Beau Nelson, Stevie Garrett, Joseph Sudderth, Matthew Day and Leighton Bristow.
